Back to the Drawing Board

Drew and I have had 2 weekends off of racing and back home together. Normal sleep schedules are just starting to kick in, and we have gotten some awesome weekend rides in. Our first weekend off we took Gerry from Straight Up Cycles and Grant to ride an awesome secret trail in Vic called "John and Thor's Trail" that takes about 4 hours round trip at a slightly less than hammer pace. Last weekend we were off to Parksville where we rode in the Hammerfest area. Awesome trails, but I had definitely forgotten the problem with the area: You either go up, or you go down....which makes for an awesome, but tough day. These two weekends, combined with some good mid-week riding, has reminded me how much fun it is to train!

This weekend I am heading to Crankworx in Whistler, BC to help out in the Shimano Canada expo booth. After the show up there is over Drew is coming to meet me in Whistler so that we can spend a couple days exploring the trails there....more solid riding!

Hope everyone's August is going well!
